Trying something new as got inspired to write again with these short review and rating of content I watched…will try creating new blog posts too but just so page is active.

Blink Twice - 3/5

I certainly did have quite a good time with this film. Slater King, a tech billionaire stumbles across Frida (a waiter) during a gala, she and her friends get invited to his paradise island… but something starts to feel wrong. Zoë Kravitz directorial debut is strong with such a gripping story that unafraid to become disturbing however did find the visuals of the film feeling like they blend into recent type films. Easily Channing Tatum best performance with a sorry scene everyone is talking about but his character is truly unnerving and then theirs's Naomi Ackie who is also a standout with her character you immediately root for. Snappy editing also worth nothing too. This film certainly worth seeing & scratched that disturbing thriller itch.

Cuckoo - 4/5

Complex horror film that went into blind and absolutely adored. Gretchen is reluctantly forced to move to the German Alpha but there something sinister going on within their new home and its coming for her. The tension this film creates in immense, mostly done with the editing and sound creating on your edge moments like the scene above. … script is complex but is so riveting though for me personally needs a second viewing as don’t think I fully grasped the entire situation. While the cast certainly deliver its Dan Stevens who easily steals the scenes, highly due to his peculiar character. … … has crafted such an incredible thriller/horror that worth putting on your watchlist.

Office Space - 2/5

A lackluster ‘comedy’ film. Peter hates his job and life is not looking up for him but during a hypno-therapist session his life starts to become more carefree. While I adore the premise which could make for a clever comedic film this just faltered in being funny. The ongoing layered jokes are the standout moments but script just never worked and feels like its running time is overly-long. There’s nothing note worth in the technical department and while the cast are fine its Milton Waddams that stands out played by Stephen Root. Overall its not a note-worthy film but if needing a background watch then you certainly can go for much worse comedy films.
